I always thought he was gay, but this interview question confirmed it:

SI.com: If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be?

Newton: Oprah Winfrey.

No straight man would pick Oprah.  So I googled "Is Cam Newton Gay"  Boom, lots of allegation...
